On June 8, 2010, COMPETENT FOUNDATION, Chandigarh donated 10 wheel chairs to Government Medical College & Hospital Sector 32, Chandigarh which were handed over to Dr. Raj Bahadur, Director Principal GMCH, Chandigarh by Sh. Balramji Dass Tandon, former Cabinet Minister Punjab and President of the Foundation.
s
Foundation’s Secretary Sh. Sanjay Tandon said that the idea of donation of wheel chairs came to his mind when his son’s foot got fractured and he went to the GMCH to get his foot plastered. At that time, no wheelchair was available because of which  he had to carry his son to the doctor room.

It was then that he thought that Competent Foundation  should donate  wheelchairs to the hospital thereby understanding its Corporate Social responsibility as Chairman of the Competent Group.

Dr Raj Bahadur had expressed that they were facing difficulty in carrying out the repair & maintenance of the existing wheelchairs & trolleys. So Mr Tandon offered to provide for the repair and maintenance of all wheelchairs & strechers of the hospital, which was duly accepted.
